               The Outputs

These efforts will result in deepening of partnerships and sustaining of current funding
partners, with new ones established besides those in Europe and America who already
fund AERC. An endowment fund will be established. African governments will establish
country-specific, capacity-building projects for policy analysis. The Central Bank
Governors Forum membership will be expanded as will the African regional membership
of the AERC Board. Partnerships will be established with private-sector philanthropic
foundations and with a jointly established women scholarship fund. Collaborative
research projects and consultative conferences will be conducted jointly. The AERC will
be housed in a permanent office space.

Outcome 3: Raise participation of underrepresented countries and groups in AERC
research and graduate training to expand access.

To increase participation and obtain a critical mass of women and nationals from fragile
and post-conflict African nations benefitting from AERC’s capacity-building interventions
in both research and graduate training, AERC will:

                                                                                                         27 |
