PASHFARM project ANH2024 Learning Lab, 2024
June 20, 2024We were excited to participate in the first ANH2024 Learning lab on 18th June 2024.
A total of 83 participants took part in the learning lab. The theme of this inaugural edition was Integrating Nutrition and Gender in Food Environment Research Projects.
This learning lab is part of the Policy Analysis for Sustainable and Healthy Foods in African Retail Markets (PASHFARM) project that aims to rigorously research retail markets for nutritious foods for improved policy development, program design, and health in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
To help the participants apply the concepts learned during the session, we used one of the (PASHFARM) research projects to demonstrate the process of integrating gender into food environment research projects.
Facilitators for the learning lab included Mark Korir (Manager, Training, African Economic Research Consortium), Maureen Cheserek (Nutrition Specialist, PASHFARM project, AERC) and Lanoi Maloy (Gender Specialist, PASHFARM project, AERC)
The project supports twenty (20) research projects (collaborative, country case studies, and faculty research) in 15 countries in SSA.
