Under the Research Programmes, AERC has two set of workshops. These include Special Workshops and Technical Workshops.

Special Workshops

These explores in depth selected topical issues within a relatively short period of time. The approach provides a mechanism for generating research products based on previous AERC investments and/or collaboration with other networks and research institutions with expertise in the topics in question. The results are expected to be authoritative, but readily and quickly disseminated to inform policy.

Technical Workshops

These are methodology workshops designed to sharpen research skills and expose the network to relevant developments. They provide in-depth, hands-on experience with different research techniques.
