Date: 6th-7th Nov 2025

You are invited to save the date for our annual conference, Global finance amid geopolitical fragmentation: implications for emerging markets and developing economies.

The event is scheduled to take place on 6–7 November 2025 at our global affairs hub in Westminster on Millbank, with an option to join virtually via Zoom.

This conference, co-organised by ODI Global, the SOAS Centre for Global Finance (CGF) and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), offers a unique opportunity to gain critical insights into how geopolitical shifts are reshaping global capital flows and creating new financial realities for developing economies. We will focus on strategic responses, including how to strengthen regional cooperation and mobilise private investment for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We are currently finalising our programme and esteemed line-up of speakers. More details, including registration and joining instructions, will follow soon via email. For the full concept note and conference background, please visit the official conference webpage: https://odi.org/en/events/global-finance-amid-geopolitical-fragmentation-implications-for-emerging-markets-and-developing-economies.
