The typical degree programmes are divided into three components: core courses, elective courses and thesis research. Each year, from late June to early November, upon successful completion of core courses at their home universities, students from eligible CPP and CMAP participating universities proceed to a facility commonly referred to as the Joint Facility for Electives (JFE) to be taught a menu of elective courses by visiting lecturers sourced internationally.
