AERC-CMAAE Academic Advisory Board Meeting, Kampala, Uganda
February 7, 2023The CMAAE Academic Advisory Board held its meeting at the Protea by Marriot Hotel, Kampala, Uganda on 30-31 January 2023 to perform the quality assurance role of the Collaborative Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics programme. Graced by the Ag. Executive Director, AERC, Prof. Théophile Azomahou, and chaired by Prof. Kennedy Machira (Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources) the meeting was attended by the Heads of the Departments of Agricultural Economics from 17 public universities in the eastern and southern Africa region. The agenda was to consider the examinations for the Shared Facility for Specialization and Electives (SFSE) 2022 and the accreditation of departments to offer the CMAAE programme, among other items. Two universities, the University of eSwatini (eSwatini) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa) were recommended for accreditation.
