AERC at the Kenya National Research Festival
September 19, 2024The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) participated at the Kenya National Research Festival recently. The even took place on August 23rd, 2024, at The Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. Prof. Victor Murinde, AERC, Executive Director delivered a keynote address at the Research Festival.
This year’s festival brought together leading researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and other key stakeholders under the theme, “Research Partnerships and Collaborations for Socio-Economic Transformation.”
In his keynote address, Prof. Murinde emphasized the critical role of research in shaping effective economic policies, which are essential for fostering inclusive growth and addressing socio-economic challenges across Africa. AERC’s mission to build capacity and facilitate policy-oriented economic research aligns closely with the festival’s objectives, as the consortium has consistently worked to influence policy decisions that drive sustainable development in the region through research.
